Standard Blade Fuse 30A Green
A standard blade fuse is a type of fuse commonly used in automotive and electrical applications for circuit protection. It features a flat, rectangular shape with two metal prongs (blades) on either side that connect to the fuse holder. The fuse body is typically made of transparent plastic, allowing you to see the internal metal strip, which is the key element that blows when excessive current flows through the fuse.
Standard blade fuses are designed to "blow" or disconnect the electrical circuit if the current flowing through it exceeds a specified amperage, thus preventing damage to wiring, electrical components, and potentially avoiding fires. They come in various amperage ratings (measured in amps) and are color-coded for easy identification.
