HEL Performance Solid Billet Multi-Angle Thermostatic Oil Filter Sandwich Plate - 82°C
The HEL Performance multi-angle solid billet oil filter sandwich plate comes with a built-in thermostat, which prevents the flow of oil to the cooler until the engine oil reaches the desired temperature. This allows for both a faster warmup and also extra protection in cold environments over a non-thermostatic sandwich plate. If your oil temperature dips the thermostat will close again enabling your oil to stay at its optimum temperature. Due to the clever multi-angle configuration, you can have the oil cooler hoses coming out straight or at a 45 degree angle, useful for when engine space is tight and there isn't much room to route the oil lines. You can attach both oil temperature and oil pressure sensors using 1/8" NPT sensor port adapters (sold separately). If you prefer not to use the sensor ports, you can utilise the supplied blanking plugs.
This product listing is for the 82°C thermostatic element. We also offer this same multi-angle sandwich plate with a 92°C thermostatic element (sold separately), giving you even more control of your oil temperature. Please see #HEL-MATOSP-92, if you require the 92°C thermostat option.
Machined from 6082-T6 solid billet Aluminium in-house at HEL's United Kingdom headquarters and finished in a hard-wearing anodised grey. The 82°C thermostatic version of this multi-angle sandwich plate features a Black 'H' logo and the 92°C option features a Red 'H' logo, as seen in pictures.
