Davies Craig Digital Thermatic Fan Switch Kit 12v

The Digital Fan Switch Kit can be used with both Davies Craig Radiator Fans, SPAL Radiator Fans, and Electric Water Pumps. It senses air temperature as it passes through the radiator with the sensor placed in the radiator fin section or the sensor can now also be placed directly into the coolant system in combination with a Temperature Sensor Adaptor Kit (Part 0409). It can be used for 12 or 24 volt applications and has an adjustable temperature range of 40°C to 110°C (104°F to 230°F) which can show Centigrade or Fahrenheit. Temp is set by pressing the set button. It can run 1 or 2 fans. The second fan (if applicable) will start 10 seconds after Fan #1 runs.

It can run up to 2 fans. The second fan (if applicable) will be powered on 10 seconds after Fan #1 is triggered. Both fans will operate until the air temperature is reduced by 5 degrees (C) from the set temperature.

This unit can be configured to run at 24 volts by changing the relays to 24v, these are not supplied in the kit and must be purchased separately. Relays used are standard automotive relays.

• Speed: Single speed, 10 second delay to start up the second fan.
• Applications: Suitable for single and dual fan applications.
• Screen Display: LED digital temp display, actual temp + set temp.
• Temp Display: Centigrade or Fahrenheit.

PLEASE NOTE: The kit as supplied with a sensor designed to be placed between the vehicles radiator fins, an adapter kit is required to allow the sensor to be fitted into a coolant hose.

Air Temperature Application: In this application the sensor is placed into the vehicles radiator directly sensing the air temperature as it passes through, this is ideal if you do not want to cut into any water / coolant hoses. However, this is the least accurate way of sensing temperature.

Water / Coolant Application: When purchased with the 'Temperature Sensor Adapter Kit 409' you can install the sensor into a hose putting the temperature sensor in direct contact with the coolant, this is the most accurate and preferred way to take your temperature reading. It is recommended to install the sensor in the return hose from the radiator.

Electric Water Pump Control: If using this switch for use with Davies Craig EWP's, it will not vary the speed of the pump in response to engine temperature but rather turn the pump on and off at your set temperature. For EWP control, we would recommend part number 8001 which can manage both the Electric Water Pump and your Electric Radiator Fans.

ATTENTION

• This is a 12v only kit, if you intend to operate 24v fans you will need to purchase standard 24v relays.
