5.5kw Cabin Heater 24v

A great interior heater for use in Motorhomes, Caravans, Minibuses, Boats and other Marine applications, this unit can be hooked up to the vehicles cooling system to provide extra interior heating or installed into a bespoke central heating system for use with Eberspacher and Webasto water heaters. The Cabin Heater offers multi fan speed control giving maximum output or quiet running.

This heater is primarily intended for panel fitment but can also be fixed horizontally using the 4 bolt holes on the bottom of the enclosure. For panel mounting you will need to cut a hole in your panel approximately 10mm smaller than the outside enclosure dimensions, the panel is the sandwiched between the grill fascia and the rear of the heater using the 6 screws supplied. This heater fits relatively flush leaving only ~10mm of the outlet grill protruding past the fixing panel.

If panel mounted please ensure that air can flow back into the internal volume, otherwise the heater will not work very well! We also stock various sizes of air grill.

This heater uses two axial fans, each fan has a high and low speed setting, to operate at the desired fan speed you must apply power to either the orange or red wires, though not at the same time! Each fan has 3 wires giving 6 in total for the heater. It is recommended to use a 3 position Rocker or Rotary switch to operate the fans.

Please note that no switches are supplied with the heater, please see our range of multi position switches sold separately.

Please ensure your supply is fused appropriately, it is recommended to use a 3a fuse and that your cable is rated higher than the fuse.

• Please note that a corrosion inhibitor such as glycol or anti-freeze should be used to prevent corrosion and prolong the useful life of all components used in the vehicles cooling system.
